International cooperation

Introduction

Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP is widely cooperating with industrial and scientific organizations from European Union. This cooperation is focused mainly on the research and development as well as scientific projects co-financed by European Commission with in Framework Programs. PIAP was actively participating in 4th, 5th and 6th Framework Program.

Moreover PIAP is collaborating as well with scientific and industrial organizations from USA This cooperation is concentrating on systems for increase of railway security, road and maritime transportation as well as development of industrial systems for automated production of electronic devices.

Expertise

Engineers from the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP develop unique technical solutions and perform interdisciplinary research projects. The expertise of PIAP is focused on:

• technical solutions for public security (systems of automated monitoring, antiterrorist robots, disaster management systems)
• technical solutions for environmental protection as well as environmental engineering (devices and systems for recycling, pollution monitoring systems, measuring systems distributed at the large area, unique and robust data transmission devices for hazardous conditions) 
• satellite monitoring and transportation management including transportation of hazardous goods 
• technical devices and informatics systems supporting food production and storage. 
• unique electronics, mechatronic and optical devices and systems 
• nondestructive testing, industrial automation as well as sensing technique, especially measuring transducers operating in hard conditions
